Fandoms Kill Stories

I know, I know. Most people will argue that fandoms actually help stories along, that without them there wouldn't be a story to begin with. But that's just not true. A story originates from an author, a writer, a single person (or a group of person, fine) with an idea. And then they tell it, and develop its characters, chose its events with care, set its tone. 
THEN fans come into play, and start caring about those characters, what happens to them, their adventures.

What I hate about fandoms is this compulsive need to pressure writers. "Shippers" are the worst example of that. I get liking a couple. Once it's formed, yeah. While it's forming, maybe. But before it's even a possibility, or even worse, when it's definitely not an option, I'm just going to go ahead and say no. You just shouldn't do that. It's weird ! There is WAY more to a relationship than just looking good together. You can't force characters into a romance without any grounds !

Softer examples of fandom abuse is those outraged reactions to a character's death. I get it, it's sad. It is, I'm not denying it. But death is death, stop protesting for a miracle when it's not going to happen. Respect the writers' choices. It's their story not yours. Disappointment is a fact of life. And if you're really upset then leave. Go write fan fiction or whatever, and stop annoying every reasonable person who enjoys that story (whatever the format) with your ridiculous complaints. 

Being a true fan is, in my humble opinion, accepting a story for what it is, trusting its creators to do right by what they've brought into this world. Sometime they mess up, I'm not saying they never do, but it's their fault to own, not an opportunity for you to set on a preposterous crusade !

So yeah, I made this design to represent all of that.
